COVID–19 statement from the CEO - 26 March 2020

By Lora Benson | Mar 26, 2020

We would like to thank our member and wider financial services community for their patience and understanding during an unprecedented time. As we all do our bit to meet the social distancing guidelines required around the world, we too have put our business continuity plans to the test, enabling, for the first time, our entire workforce across eight international offices to work remotely. This means we are very much operational but it might take slightly longer to hear back from our customer services team who are trying very hard to contact and speak to candidates who have their exams coming up as a priority. We are doing our best to serve your needs.

A full list of test centres that have closed under instruction from local governments can be found here.

Candidates sitting computer based exams who are affected will have now received a notification from us asking whether they would like to move their exam, free of charge, to a future sitting or register their interest in sitting their exam by remote invigilation. If you haven’t received that email please check your junk folder and ensure the CISI is added to your permitted contacts list. Or you can contact us on customer.support@cisi.org. As soon as we can make the remote invigilation option available we will then contact candidates to set this up.

Candidates sitting our narrative / written exams this June have all been informed that their exam sittings will now take place in September 2020.

If your computer based exam is booked between June and December 2020, there are currently no changes to your booking but rest assured we are monitoring the situation carefully and will contact you immediately should that change.

We have also taken the difficult decision to cancel or postpone our event programme from now until September 2020. All face to face events will now either take place via webcasting or alternative content will be suggested from our library of content on CISI TV, CISI YouTube, The Review articles and from our 180 e-learning modules available for all members through their MyCISI platform. Regular emails will be sent to members to highlight the new live webcasts and new content uploaded, members should ensure they have updated their communication preferences on their MyCISI dashboard to receive this information.

Finally, please do see the many helpful hints and tips on our recently launched mental health portal to ensure you look after your wellbeing whilst working from home.
