Cyber threats are real and crucial to note, as they can result in the paralysis of an organisation’s computer system, theft of information such as customers’ bank account details and credit card information, and the loss of other sensitive or important data. Cybercrime usually refers to any crime that involves a computer. The computer may have been used to commit a crime, or it may be the target. This module explores computer fraud, hacking, denial of service attacks, new technologies and security concerns, as well as the definitions and legislation related to cybercrime.
