The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), the UK's leading professional body and educational charity for financial services, is helping financial services professionals at every stage of their career future-proof their prospects through its Career Development Week, taking place from 21 to 25 September.

Delivered in partnership with Paul Harper Search, the new week-long programme combines free live workshops, recruiter panels, practical demonstrations, downloadable career resources and complimentary one-to-one support sessions. The programme is open to CISI members and non-members globally.

Throughout the week, attendees will have the opportunity to book a complimentary 20-30 minute individual consultation with an experienced career adviser from Paul Harper Search.

The week covers a wide range of content tailored for different career stages and reflects the changes to the job market AI is bringing:

  • Career Planning in an Age of AI and Uncertainty
  • How to Leverage LinkedIn, Personal Branding and Thought Leadership
  • How to Develop Innovative Career Pathways (Fractional, Interim, Consulting, NED)
  • Navigating the Job Market – How to Get Job-Market Ready
  • Accessing the Hidden Job Market: Finding High-Paying, Unadvertised Roles

Live demonstrations will involve practical, interactive sessions showing real-world examples and best practice with a live CV review, live LinkedIn profile review and interview hot seat.

Tracy Vegro OBE CISI CEO said: "With more than 17 hours of learning, including workshops, webinars and live demonstrations, Career Development Week offers a unique opportunity for financial services professionals to invest in their future. Whether attendees are seeking a new role, planning their next career move, building their professional profile or preparing for leadership opportunities, this programme provides practical guidance from experienced career experts."

"By making this programme available, we aim to remove barriers to professional development and help individuals build the skills, confidence and networks they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving job market."

To encourage participation, prizes will be awarded to the three attendees who take part in the highest number of sessions during the week. Winners will receive professional coaching and career support packages worth up to £600.
