One of the Institute's foremost objectives is to promote the highest standards of trust, integrity and practical professional ethics amongst its members and throughout the securities and investment sectors.

The Committee directs and leads work in this area, and as part of this, it is responsible for the Institute's Code of Conduct.

Assessment & Qualifications Committee

The CISI's Assessment & Qualifications Committee meets twice a year and its function is to advise on the direction of the Institute's qualifications strategy. Whilst the spring meeting focuses predominantly on strategy, the autumn meeting provides an opportunity to review qualification performance formally.

The Board's role is an integral part of the CISI's continued drive to maintain the relevance of its qualifications and embed transparency in its quality assurance processes.

National Advisory Councils

A National Advisory Council (NAC) is a group of experienced professionals who voluntarily represent and promote local CISI membership and professional standards within the financial services industry. Composed of experienced practitioners, the NAC supports continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities and networking events, ensuring members remain informed and connected. Acting as a bridge between CISI and the local community, the NAC enhances regional engagement, fosters professionalism, and strengthens trust in the industry it represents.

The CISI Forums are dynamic online and in-person content programmes exclusively available to members of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Designed to foster meaningful conversation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing with your peers across the financial services profession, the Forums bring together individuals at all stages of their careers—from students and new entrants to seasoned practitioners and senior leaders.
