Financial Services Specialists and Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering with the CISI is very rewarding, providing a chance to share your knowledge and experience with other financial services practitioners.

The assistance of financial services specialists in developing and maintaining CISI learning materials and qualifications is vital. Our reputation as a professional body rests on these qualifications and it is financial services specialists who enable us to ensure that they remain relevant, focussed and practitioner-led.

Currently we have over 400 specialists who work closely with the Institute, sitting on subject panels, devising exam questions and developing learning materials. If you have relevant experience, a financial services qualification and a desire to broaden your skills portfolio why not join us?

The Institute is also fortunate to have the support and active assistance of more than 300 volunteers who contribute towards every aspect of Institute life, from Professional Forum committees, to Interest Groups, to members of the Board. Their passion and commitment ensures that the Institute remains relevant, focussed and practitioner-led

Conflicts of Interest

The CISI is committed to ensuring the quality, fairness and integrity of all the qualifications it awards. We have in place a conflicts of interest policy which seeks to ensure that all conflicts of interest (whether potential, actual, perceived or alleged) which could bring this into question, are identified and managed effectively. This policy applies to all CISI employees and any other person or organisation involved in the development, delivery or award of the CISI's qualifications.

All of our Professional specialists have signed a confidentiality agreement agreeing to notify the CISI of any change within their circumstances that might lead to a potential conflict of interest. Such conflicts of interest are logged by the CISI centrally and monitored on an ongoing basis and reviewed annually by the CISI's self-evaluation panel.
