Interpreting body language, exploring the life-changing nature of paraplanning and examining behavioural biases are all on the agenda for this year’s Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Paraplanner Conference 2018.
The Conference, running over two days 12 -13 June at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel, Hinckley, Leicestershire has an action-packed programme, including a dinner, based on the theme: Rise To The Challenge – It’s All In The Detail. It will allow attendees to gain a total of 8.5 structured CPD hours over the two days.
Jacqueline Lockie CFPTM Chartered FCSI, CISI Head of Financial Planning said: “Our Paraplanner Interest Group Committee (PPIG) has been instrumental in helping us shape a two-day programme of compelling content, combining soft and technical skill sessions. The programme was built by paraplanners, for paraplanners.”
The CISI Paraplanner Conference will include a session on How your personality affects what you do and Interpreting body language presented by leading trainer and coach Bob Malloney. Martin Lines, Business Development Director of lead conference sponsor JUST will examine the FCA’s outlook on behavioural biases and challenge delegates on their approach to this topic.
Aleksandra Sasin of Navigatus Outsourced Paraplanning will inspire delegates with How paraplanning has changed my life and lets me do what I love: helping clients get the right outcome, while the dynamic duo Michelle Meredith and Martin Ruskin CFPTM Chartered MCSI of Paradigm Norton will run a session on Working relationships with financial planners – overcoming differences of opinion.
Technical streams will be offered, including those on Financial planning after divorce, not just trusts but blended families and second marriages and a session on Risk and uncertainty with Gerald Ashley, expert on behavioural risk, disruptive change and decision making from Newcastle University.
Royal London will run a stream on Protection and there will be a session on Later life planning with updates on OPG and case law.
A highly unusual motivational session is planned on the theme Rise To The challenge.
