Rock N Roll politics at the Scotland branch annual dinner and awards night

British TV presenter and political columnist Steve Richards was guest speaker at the event, held on 5 September at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow

The sponsors for this event were Meraki Talent; Smith & Williamson; and First Trust, without whom it would not have been possible. If you would like to support future dinners, please contact

Steve Richards, who has written columns for the Guardian, Independent, New Statesman, and Spectator, brought elements of his Rock N Roll Politics one-man show to the after-dinner speech.

CISI Scotland branch president Maggie Lindsay, Chartered FCSI said: "The event was a wonderful celebration of achievement, with awards being presented to the hardest working students from across the Scotland region."

With the help of a fundraising raffle, over 140 guests contributed a total of £1,500, including gift aid, in aid of the Winning Scotland Foundation, which works to empower all young people in Scotland to be ambitious, versatile and resilient with the self-belief to succeed.
