Tall tales at the CISI East Midlands & Lincoln branch annual dinner 2018

Former RAF fighter pilot Mandy Hickson shared tales from the skies with the audience at the event, held on 17 May 2018 at Burleigh Court Hotel and Conference Centre, Leicestershire


Over 50 guests contributed £565, in aid of CLIC Sargent, which is a leading cancer charity in the UK for children, young people and their families.

CISI East Midlands & Lincoln branch president David Spokes, Chartered FCSI said: "It was an absolute pleasure to enjoy the company of our members at the annual dinner. As a region, we have celebrated more new members and more great quality CPD being offered by the CISI in various locations in Leicester and Nottingham."

"It was fantastic hearing from Mandy Hickson about her career and experience as a pilot in the RAF. I would also like to thank our guests for their generosity in raising funds for our chosen charity", he added.

The top table guests were: Mandy Hickson, former fighter pilot, RAF; George Acquah, president, East Midlands Institute of Chartered Accountants; Claire Herrick, fundraising engagement manager, CLIC Sargent; Richard Bennett, head of membership, CISI; Helen Wilcox, vice president, Nottingham Insurance Institute; Stephen Foulkes, chairman, East Midlands branch, Chartered Institute of Taxation; and Toby Mansfield, chairman, East Midlands Personal Finance Society.
