New Professional Refresher module: Retail investment products
As a result of the Retail Distribution Review, a wide-ranging evaluation of the retail investment market was carried out by the FCA which introduced a new, broader definition of ‘retail investment products’.
Retail Investment Products (An Overview) is a new Professional Refresher module which will provide an introduction to the main types of retail investment product – their key features, characteristics and tax treatment.
Professional Refresher is an online learning system which allows self-administered testing on a variety of topics, including modules on the latest regulatory changes. There is a wide range of modules available, with new and topical ones being added on a regular basis. Popular modules include Anti-Money Laundering, Integrity & Ethics and Information Security & Data Protection.
There are currently 60 modules, which are free to CISI members, or for £250 to non-members. Modules are also available individually.
