Celebrity chef Paul Askew was guest speaker at the event, held on 19 May 2022 at Hilton Liverpool City Centre.

CISI Liverpool president Vanessa Doyle ACSI said: “It was a fabulous evening where we could catch up with colleagues and friends after so much time apart. Special thanks to our guest speaker, who donated his fee to our charity on the night.”

The Owen McVeigh Foundation was set up in memory of Owen McVeigh, who passed away at the age of 11, shortly after being diagnosed with leukaemia. Fundraising on the night took two forms: a raffle and a charity auction. Prizes for the raffle included Google Home, afternoon tea for two at the Hilton, an overnight stay at the Hilton, and a gin hamper. Charity auction prizes included a signed Frank Lampard shirt and a signed Sadio Mane shirt.

Top table guests included: Marie Fearnehough, chair, Owen McVeigh Foundation; Nigel Lanceley, deputy lieutenant, Merseyside Lieutenancy; Mark Kearsley, chair, Chartered Institute of Taxation; Steven Zdolyny, president, Liverpool Law Society.
