Bowled over at the inaugural CISI Essex branch annual dinner 2017

Graham Gooch OBE DL, former English cricket captain, kept an audience of 85 entertained at the event, held on 19 October 2017 at the County Hotel, Chelmsford


Guests at the event contributed over £1,700, excluding gift aid, in aid of the City of Chelmsford Mencap, an independent local charity providing services for people with learning disabilities, and anyone who needs care and support, to live life to the fullest.

CISI Essex branch president Clive Shelton, Chartered FCSI, said: "I was delighted to see the great support for the new CISI Essex branch. Many thanks to all those who attended and our sponsors. It was a brilliant and enjoyable evening, attracting many distinguished guests, and provided an excellent networking opportunity, with good food and very entertaining and interesting speakers.

"As an inaugural annual dinner it was a great success; I can't wait for our next event," he added.
