Apprenticeship informationApprenticeships benefit employers and individuals, and by boosting the skills of the workforce they help to improve economic productivity. Apprenticeship reforms will support an increase in the quality of apprenticeships so that more individuals have the chance to pursue a successful career – whether this is their first step on the employment ladder or progression within a current employment sector.

The CISI has been working with City & Guilds and a group of employers and training providers to develop assessment plans for three Investment Operations apprenticeships. City & Guilds is registered with the Skills Funding Agency as the end-point assessment organisation for these apprenticeships, and is now recruiting assessors for these Investment Operations apprenticeships.

As an independent assessor, you will be the key person in the decision-making process of apprenticeship outcomes for the City & Guilds independent end-point assessment service in the investment sector.

The three apprenticeships that City & Guilds is currently recruiting assessors for are:

  • Level 2 Investment Operations Administrator
  • Level 3 Investment Operations Technician
  • Level 4 Investment Operations Specialist

The primary focus of this role is to liaise with organisations offering City & Guilds as the independent end-assessment service to their employers, and involves planning and carrying out assessment activities and ensuring consistency of grading decisions. You will also share and interpret your decisions as part of standardisation meetings as a specialist in your industry, working with or as a lead independent assessor for internal training and moderation purposes. Having gained expertise and credibility through having worked in the industry, you will be keen to be part of a team looking to develop the investment industry professionals of the future, and wish to make use of your industry technical knowledge in this area.

If interested please complete the online form and submit to independentassessor@cityandguilds.com
