A punchy evening at the CISI South Coast branch annual dinner 2016

The Rt. Hon Lord (John) Prescott pulled no punches in keeping guests entertained at the event

The Rt. Hon Lord (John) Prescott entertained around 110 guests at the CISI event, held at the Hilton Hotel Bournemouth on Friday 18 November 2016, with the back stories behind his ‘Two Jags’ and the infamous ‘Punch’.

The event raised a total of £1,792.50 for Julia’s House children’s hospice. Julia’s House depends mostly on fundraising and donations to keep its services running, as only 5% of the funding comes in from the government.

Some of the top table guests at the event were: the president of the Bournemouth & District Law Society, Carol Maunder; CISI Head of Financial Planning, Campbell Edgar CFPTM Chartered FCSI; the chair of the Southern Region Members’ Network of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Jonathan Shaw; and chair of the Joint Professional Group, David Lapthorn.

Many thanks to M&G Investment, JP Morgan Asset Management, First Trust Global, Henderson and Fidelity for sponsoring the event, without whom it would not have been possible. If you would like to support future dinners, please contact nikki.macmillan@cisi.org
