The latest issue of The Review is out now. Here’s a taster of what’s included in September’s magazine.

Embracing changeThe historic vote to leave the EU sent shockwaves through financial markets in the UK and abroad. We discuss what challenges the UK market faces from Brexit and speak to a range of industry experts about what they want from the forthcoming negotiations.  Changing suitsClass actions, or group shareholder litigation, are evolving in the UK. We look at how this type of litigation, commonplace in the US, is developing in the UK, thanks to high profile cases against RBS, Lloyds and Tesco.
Man with a plan
We meet Paul Etheridge MBE CFP™ Chartered FCSI, Chairman of the Prestwood Group and founding member of the Institute of Financial Planning. He gives his views on his career, and how the financial planning industry has evolved.
The Big Bang: 30 years on
We mark the 30th anniversary of the regulatory overhaul that was the Big Bang, one of the most momentous events in UK financial history, and look at how it transformed financial services.
Crunch time
A liquidity crunch has hit the property sector, with open-ended property funds once again in a state of chaos following large outflows. We ask what this can tell us about the state of the wider economy.
Avoiding a hive mind
Groupthink is not desirable in any business, yet many in the financial services industry struggle to appoint staff that hold different opinions. We discuss how companies can improve diversity and their decision-making.

The edition contains plenty of thought-provoking opinions, too. Anthony Hilton asks how experts can regain the trust of the public, while Andrew Davis ponders the impact of social media on the financial world.

It also includes ‘Change’ – a round-up of key regulatory changes in the last quarter, and the latest edition of the CISI’s academic journal, Review of Financial Markets, which contains cutting-edge research.

All members, excluding student members, are eligible to receive the quarterly print edition of the magazine. Members can opt in to receive the print edition by logging in to MyCISI, clicking on ‘My account’, then clicking the ‘Communications’ tab and selecting ‘Yes’.

Once you have read the print edition, keep coming back to the digital edition of The Review, which is updated regularly with news, features and comment about the Institute and the financial services industry.
