CISI Global Test Centre Status & Safety and Social Distancing Procedures

With the announcement of the new national lockdown in the UK, we are writing to let you know that our UK test centres for multiple choice question exams currently remain operational throughout lockdown as it is deemed an essential educational service.

For our global test centres, please view the status for your respective country below.

We want to make it clear that ensuring your safety is our number one priority. We want to give you some assurances on what we are doing to provide you with a safe testing environment.

We have worked closely with our testing partners to implement safety procedures at all our test centres to minimise the risks to you and our onsite team. This includes strict cleaning procedures including high-contact surfaces, before and after each candidate. Please familiarise yourself with the safety measures detailed below prior to attending your exam.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we aim to provide you with a safe testing environment so you can focus on sitting your CISI exam.

KEY INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES

If you fall into at least one of the following categories before your exam date, we are unable to allow you to test:

1 Have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
2 Have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
3 Are experiencing flu or cold-like symptoms
4 Have returned from travel from a highly-infected area in the past 14 days

If any of the above applies to you, please contact our Customer Support Team and we will be happy to reschedule your exam, free of charge.

General safety precautions



Cleaning & Hygiene

We have implemented a strict cleaning procedure onsite. All test centre locations, including high-touch surfaces (eg. Test stations, keyboard keys, mouse, etc.), will be cleaned before we open, in-between each candidate, and at the end of the day, to mitigate the risk of the virus.



Masks & PPE

It is mandatory to wear a face mask/covering during your exam. Please ensure you bring your own face mask or cloth face covering. Failure to do so may result in you being unable to take your test. Face masks will not be provided at the test centre. All our test centre staff will have access to protective equipment for their own use.



Social distancing

When entering the exam room you will be required to stand on a designated area (marked by a ‘Stand here’ sign or ‘X’ in place on the floor), in a social distancing compliant and safe area away from the onsite team. You will be seated in a manner that ensures distancing guidelines are satisfied during testing.

Exam procedures

ON ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN

Identification - We will accept IDs with expiration dates from 1 February 2020 onwards. Any jewellery or glass lenses will also be visually checked.
Physical searches - You will be asked to show your arms and empty your pockets on this area as part of our standardised checks.
Signing in - You will be asked to sign-in on a roster sheet using a supplied pen. This pen will be kept on you throughout your testing experience and returned on completion of your exam.
Scratch paper - This will be available during your exam, only if permitted by the CISI program.

DURING YOUR EXAM

Monitoring - All monitoring of the test room will be done exclusively via digital video recorder monitoring. Physical walkthroughs by the onsite team will be waived, unless there is adequate space to comply with distancing guidelines.
Breaks & Lockers - If a break is permissible for your exam, centre staff will follow established processes to ensure your path is clear for you. If locker access is allowed during breaks, the check-in procedure will be followed again. You can only access lockers for food, drink and medication. The onsite team will record the time in and out of the room for you.

AFTER YOUR EXAM

Signing out - You will be asked to return to the reception area to complete the sign-out procedure using the pen you were provided on entry.
You will be asked to provide all scratch paper and place them into a secure bin, if applicable.
You will be asked to place your pen and locker key into a holding tub prior to leaving the test centre. It will then be cleaned for the next candidate to be used.
Your test station will then be cleaned to prepare it safely for the next candidate.

Candidates that are scheduled for afternoon sessions with start times after 12pm: there will be a delay of 30-45mins to start times due to the disinfecting cleaning process that will be completed at each workstation. All exams for the afternoon will therefore start 30 to 45mins later than the schedule time.



Masks & PPE

Masks are required to be worn at all times within the test centre and during your exam. Candidates will be required to bring their own mask and to sign a “Health and Travel declaration Form”, this form will be provided at the test centre. Any refusal to complete the will result in a candidate not being able to test.

The centre is observing the Hong Kong Health Government policy for COV-19, all candidates will have a temperature check performed at the test centre. The test centre has the right to turn away any candidates who do not meet these requirements.

Test centre reopening status

We have been working closely with our global testing providers to reopen our global test centres, in a safe and compliant manner, to minimise any infection risk to our candidates.

The below lists the current status for test centres by country. Please note: test centres that reopen may have a reduced capacity to allow for social distancing procedures to be implemented and the dates shown below are subject to change.
