We are delighted to invite the financial services community to attend our 30th Anniversary Dinner on Thursday 5 May 2022 in the beautiful surroundings of the Guildhall, London.

The evening provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with senior leaders from across the sector, as well as networking with colleagues and clients from all over the world. We have seen so much change the 30 years since the Institute was born out of the London Stock Exchange in 1992, and we are fortunate to be joined by some of those original founders at our celebrations, along with our eminent keynote speaker Nikhil Rathi, CEO of the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

We welcome individual bookings and table bookings and hope you will help us celebrate this momentous occasion.

Keynote speaker

Nikhil Rathi, Chief Executive, UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Nikhil was appointed Chief Executive of the FCA in October 2020. The FCA has three primary operational objectives: to secure an appropriate degree of protection for consumers; to protect and enhance the integrity of the UK financial system; and to promote effective competition in the interests of consumers.

Under Nikhil and his executive team’s leadership, the FCA is currently undertaking a significant multi-year transformation programme to become a data-led, forward looking regulator. The FCA recently supported the UK’s departure from the EU with minimal disruption to financial services, supported consumers and businesses through the pandemic, and is now playing a key role in ensuring financial markets support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Prior to joining the FCA Nikhil was Chief Executive of London Stock Exchange plc. From September 2009 to April 2014, he was Director, Financial Services Group at HM Treasury. In this role, he led the Treasury’s work on the UK’s EU and international financial services interests. Before joining the Treasury he was Private Secretary to successive UK Prime Ministers, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
