THE EXPERIENCE

This year we will host our conference at the home of Red Bull Racing’s podium-topping Formula One cars at Milton Keynes’ Red Bull Racing Factory. With floor-to-ceiling trophy cabinets we welcome you to experience the thrill of this awe-inspiring venue.

The event taking place for over two days, will feature fresh perspectives to the world of financial planning and we encourage you to discuss, debate, and deliberate topical matters with the best financial planners.

THE MAIN EVENT

Kicking off on Wednesday 6 October, the main conference includes a plenary session along with specialised stream sessions by our expert speakers. The stream sessions will focus on your business, your clients and explore topics surrounding financial planning technical content.

UNDER THE BONNET

The day before the main event, explore the Red Bull Racing factory and see the level of detail and scrutiny the award-winning Red Bull F1™ team exhibit. Our highly tailored masterclass for the day will zone in on practical, winning team-working strategies, uncovering how Red Bull's F1™ championship racing team continue to succeed.

Following the masterclass, grab a Red Bull or two at “The Mezzanine” and meet with other like-minded experts in financial planning. The pre-conference networking dinner will take a less formal approach this year and offer ample networking opportunities over interactive entertainment we have planned. Our own champions, the Financial Planning Award winners for 2021 will be announced at the networking dinner.

RACING WITH UNCERTAINTY

With the UK government plan in place to ease out of COVID restrictions and the vaccination bringing about much needed assurance, we are optimistic for an in-person conference at the spectacular home of Red Bull Racing. However, the recent events have taught us to be prepared for any eventuality. Therefore, while we work hard on creating a safe, secure, exciting face-to-face conference, we continue to monitor the pandemic and await government guidance. If necessary, we will be compelled to move the conference online at short notice.

Nonetheless, in-person or digital this flagship event will feature expert speakers providing you with an engaging, interactive, and thought-provoking experience.

NEED ACCOMMODATION?

The nominated conference hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Milton Keynes which provides a high standard of accommodation and comfort three miles from the conference venue. There will be a complimentary shuttle service running Tuesday 5 October after the networking dinner to the hotel, and the morning of Wednesday 6 October to the conference venue.

Masterclass attendees

To join a masterclass, delegates must adhere to Red Bull Racing’s safety regulations.

  • Take a lateral flow test within the 48 hours prior to your factory tour. Negative lateral flow test results must be presented to Red Bull Racing Staff to enter the factory. This must be in the form of the NHS text or email that you receive once you register your lateral flow test online.

  • Masks must be worn within the Red Bull Racing factory. Disposable masks will be available on site should you not have one with you. Please let us know if you have a medical exemption as this will be judged on a case by case basis given the commercial sensitivity of the factory.




HOW YOU CAN HELP YOUR FELLOW DELEGATES

Lateral flow test

We ask all delegates to take a lateral flow test within the 48 hours before arriving at The Financial Planning Conference. In the event of a positive test, we will offer a full refund. Lateral flow tests are available free of charge from the NHS. Check here to find a local collection point where you can pick up a home testing kit or order a pack for delivery to you here. Please note that Masterclass attendees must present a negative test result to gain admission to the Red Bull Racing Factory.

Cancelling due to a positive Covid-19 test

In the event you test positive for Covid-19 and send us the evidence, we can transfer your conference place to 2022 free of charge or if this isn’t suitable offer a full refund.

Traffic light system

We will be operating a traffic light system, allowing you to chose what level of contact with other delegates you feel comfortable with. You will be able to select your colour on arrival and can change this at any point during the conference.

Please respect everyone’s preferences as we all navigate new situations at our own pace.

  • Red : No contact- Please keep your distance.

  • Yellow : Elbows only- still being cautious.

  • Green : Handshakes and hugs welcome- I’m using the hand sanitiser.

Socially distanced seating

It is our intention to create the best possible conference experience for all delegates as safely as we can. We will have some socially-distanced seating available around the edges of the session rooms. If you would like to have your refreshments away from other delegates, there will also be a designated space available. Please do let a member of the onsite team know if you are uncomfortable at any time and we will do our best within the confines of the venue to make adaptations to the environment.

Face coverings

Face coverings will be required in public areas at the Red Bull Racing venue but can be removed within the conference areas. You are welcome to wear a face covering for the duration of the conference if you feel more comfortable doing so.




How we are creating a covid-safe environment



Fresh air ventilation

The ventilation system maximises the amount of fresh air to reduce air recirculation. Additionally, CO2 levels will be constantly monitored to ensure a 600PPM threshold. In the event it exceeds this level fresh air can be quickly pumped in, although it could affect the ambient temperature.

Enhanced cleaning

There will be enhanced cleaning of all the venue spaces before and during the conference. Hand sanitising stations will also be available around the venue.

Food and Drink

Lunch stations will be finger-free and all items will be served with tongs. Hand sanitising stations will be available before handling serving equipment.

Cloakroom

A Cloakroom service will not be available and we ask you to avoid bringing large bags to the venue, as far as possible. If you are driving and can store belongings safely in your car, we would ask you to do so.
