About the Foundation
In 2021 the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment decided that it would form a new charitable entity focused on Financial Literacy. Volunteers from the CISI Board were recruited to form a working party to assist with the set up and registration
of the charity, which has since been registered with Companies House as the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Future Foundation and is just about to be formally granted charity status by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
The new Future Foundation will act as a grant giving authority to partner with existing organisations to:
“Improve financial literacy skills, the experience and outcomes of financial learning, through the provision
of
grants”
The Board of Trustees will be responsible for aiding the Foundation’s mission by approving and monitoring the projects undertaken. The grant giving pot approved by the CISI initially is £2.5 million. The Board will operate through hybrid meetings held at least four times a year.
