Certificate in Corporate Finance

The Certificate in Corporate Finance is an important first step in developing the essential basic knowledge required for being involved in corporate finance.  

The Certificate meets the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) (formerly the FSA) mandatory exam requirements for those advising on investments in the course of corporate finance business and is listed in its Appropriate Qualification Table.     

This programme jointly offered by the CISI and ICAEW as part of the corporate finance programmes.


What will I learn?

The syllabus explores corporate finance legislation, regulation and techniques and provides you with an understanding of how corporate finance transactions are developed to meet client needs.

Diploma in Corporate Finance

The new Diploma in Corporate Finance will equip you with advanced corporate finance knowledge, skills and expertise. It will enhance the value you bring to the organisations you work with and help accelerate your career.

The Diploma replaces the diploma and advanced diplomas in corporate finance previously offered by ICAEW. 

This programme is jointly awarded by the CISI and ICAEW.

Corporate Finance qualification

The Corporate Finance qualification confirms the expertise and experience of leading specialists in corporate finance. It enhances your credibility and supports your status as a highly valued professional. Once you gain the qualification, you will be eligible to use the CF designatory letters.

No further study is required. Once you successfully meet the entry requirements listed below, you are eligible to apply for the Corporate Finance qualification.


Entry requirements:
  • successful completion of the Diploma in Corporate Finance;
  • be currently working in corporate finance;
  • be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years corporate finance experience;
  • be able to demonstrate material involvement, in a minimum of three corporate finance transactions;
  • provide confirmation of professional good standing.

The Corporate Finance qualification represents the highest level of achievement in the corporate finance programmes jointly offered by the CISI and ICAEW.
 

How do I register?

Registration is via ICAEW.

Candidates need to complete an application form and provide evidence of at least three years' corporate finance experience.  There is no charge for applying for the Corporate Finance qualification via this route.
