The CISI in Oman
In December 2008, the CISI signed an agreement with the Oman Capital Market Authority (CMA) to enhance the qualifications structure for those working in the Oman financial services market.

The CISI and the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) are now working together to implement the qualifications led licensing regime – the programme gives candidates globally recognised qualifications and also a local regulatory component.
The first step in the licensing requirement is the CISI’s International Introduction to Investment, available in both Arabic and English. Full details of the requirement and how to register
The MSM will, upon qualification, mandate continuing professional development (CPD) to practitioners. Through CISI membership, individuals get the opportunity to stay up to date via online, interactive e-learning as well as published material. Practitioners will record their activities through the CISI’s innovative CPD scheme. More information on CISI membership.
