CISI CPD Scheme: Benefits to Firms
The CISI's CPD log has been created exclusively for its members. However, many firms pay for membership as a crucial tool in satisfying senior management responsibilities for Training & Competence (T&C). Therefore, particular features of the scheme have been designed with firms in mind.
Maintain Staff Competence
The CISI CPD log can assist your staff to maintain competence. Both the CISI and RDR schemes recommend a minimum of 35 hours of CPD per annum to be performed, offering many ways of obtaining these hours which are all free to members, and provide the means of recording hours through the online CPD log.
The schemes are certifiable, generating both an A5 certificate and a full breakdown of logged activities, upon completion of one year of successfully logged CPD, so that the member can easily demonstrate activities undertaken.
Superuser
A benefit of particular significance to firms is the CISI CPD Superuser function. It enables firms to view the CPD Logs of employees who have an active log and allowed Superuser access. Reports can also be used to monitor the CPD activities undertaken by individuals.
Accreditation for Firms CPD Scheme
The CISI CPD log is all that a firm seeking to implement a continuing professional development policy needs. Users of the CISI CPD log need to demonstrate compliance against either the CISI or RDR CPD requirements, and employees compliance to these requirements can be monitored by the firm using the CISI's Superuser function.
However, many firms will already have established a scheme of their own. In such cases, regulated financial services firms, that are CISI Corporate Supporters, are able to seek CISI accreditation of their own scheme, for direct use with their employees. In obtaining accreditation, a firm is able to state that its personal CPD scheme meets the CISI's and/or RDR's rigorous CPD standards. Contact the CPD scheme team to find out more.

CPD Access Vouchers
Whilst the CISI CPD Log has been created for its members, firms that are Corporate Supporters can order CPD Access Vouchers for any employees that are not CISI members. The voucher gives full access to the CPD Log for a period of twelve months. Please note, the voucher would not give the individual access to any of the online benefits available to CISI members.
The annual fee for the CPD Access Voucher is £30 per individual.
