The test suiteWhen your test workstation is ready, an invigilator will take you through from the waiting area into the test room. You may be asked to show your ID again at this point. Each workstation is within a private partition, screened from candidates on either side. The environment has been carefully designed to ensure there is nothing to distract you during your exam. Once you are seated, you will be largely unaware of any other candidates around you. On a full-sized desk, you will find a monitor, keyboard, mouse and mouse mat and scratch writing paper and a pencil. Used or unused, you must leave the scratch paper on the desk when you finish. You can now take a moment to familiarise yourself with the equipment, and ensure that your seat, which is fully adjustable, the monitor, keyboard and mouse are all in the most comfortable position for you to sit and take your test Clicking the mouse will advance the test to the declaration screen then to the tutorial, before the actual test begins. |

| TESTER'S TIP The test suite is quiet and conducive to concentration. However, on the desk you wil find a sealed pack containing two soft in-ear disposable ear-plugs, and hanging on the partition, a pair of headphone-type ear muffs. Either of these will reduce the small amount of unavoidable noise in the test room to virtually nil. |
