Become an External Specialist - Help Contribute to the Development of the Industry
All of the CISI’s examinations are practitioner-led. They are shaped and developed with the essential input of financial services practitioners. This approach ensures our exams and study material are focused and relevant – but we need more help!
We currently have over 300 industry practitioners and specialists who work closely with the Institute and sit on exam panels, devise questions (items) and develop the workbooks.
Exam panels hold regular meetings and members are required to discuss and review syllabus learning objectives in the light of current industry practice, ensure items are written/edited against learning objectives and implement item quality checks.
Workbook authors can also sit on subject panels. They update the workbook in line with the new syllabuses and any industry developments, ensure that the syllabus is fully covered and highlight any inconsistencies against the syllabus.
The Institute offers a wide range of support material for exam and workbook specialists.
